The night sky is as diverse a place as you’ll ever find – but while this is part of its allure, it can also be a hindrance. When the wrong wavelengths of light find their way into your eyepiece, they can obstruct your views of the nebulae or planets you set out to view. Telescope filters solve this problem by selectively allowing in only the light you want to see.
